Good afternoon readers! Last night I attended an early screening of Halloween Kills and I was impressed! The screening was a good time. The audience shared some “OOOOOOHHHHHHHSSS” and a couple of “OHH SNAP” moments together as we watched Michael Myers continue to bring the havoc to his old neighborhood!

If you are reading this I’m assuming you have already seen Halloween (2018) and are familiar with the story. If not…..go watch it! Halloween Kills starts where Halloween ended and our buddy Mike hasn’t been brought down by the fire that Laurie started in her fortified compound of a house. As soon as he steps foot outside the terror resumes! Myers is on a rampage once again and when the body count starts to rise the residents of Haddonfield decide to go on the offensive to protect their town while shouting “EVIL DIES TONIGHT!!”. I really enjoyed the story presented and how it added lore to Michael’s history. If you love the original you’ll be pleased with the interesting connections and callbacks. Bravo to the writers of the script and a standing ovation for the kills! There was a scene that made a good portion of the audience yell. That was a fun moment! Even though I won’t/don’t discount the other films that came after Halloween 78 I dig this series retcon. I like how tough Old Woman Laurie continues to be and Myer’s savagery and ruthlessness hit like Rob Zombie’s Halloween film. Yes to the gory splatter! My one gripe was how it kept being stated that the original Halloween massacre was 40 years ago. WE KNOW!!! Several cast members just had to say it…..repeatedly. It was a teeny annoyance but oh well. I’m looking forward to seeing Kills again. The film hits theaters everywhere tomorrow night and will be available to stream on Peacock. I’m going to take advantage of my A List and see it in Dolby Cinema however if you aren’t using a subscription service you don’t need to spend the extra money on this unless you really really want to. It will pop more if you watch in premium format but regular format is fine. Hit that discount day!
