After the first quarter of the season, we put together a power ranking of all 32 NFL teams. So once again, it felt appropriate to revisit my predictions for all the major awards and give you my top three names for each of them, as we’ve finished up the first half of the year now. Some of those I still look in very much the same way, while the rookies and coaches particularly are quite different than I expected

With the NFL adding a 17th game last season and therefore an 18th week, now the mid-way point has moved to past week nine. That means some of the players listed here have already played in each of those weeks, while others have only had the chance to participate in eight contests. Due to that, I will use per-game stats more frequently than totals, in order to allow us to make easier comparisons between names.

Having had the chance to watch this generational talent in London this past Sunday, I decided to break down the biggest plays of his season so far and showcase how he looks healthy and better than ever.

Less than a week away from the 2022 NFL season kickoff game between the Bills and Rams, it’s time for me to once again predict the entire year, going through every single award, presenting my playoff picture and projecting forward who will square off in Super Bowl LVII.

As far as the awards are concerned, I will go through my top three candidates for each honor, explaining why I believe they will receive votes, along with just listing a couple of honorable mentions at the end of each paragraph.

To determine playoff seeding, I actually had to go a step further and yet again predict all 272 games, work through tiebreakers to figure out how exactly these teams stack up and then put them in order, so I could ultimately pick my winners for each matchup, leading up the eventual NFC and AFC representatives in the big game at the end of the season in Arizona.

We have now officially reached the mid-way point of this NFL season, with 136 of 272 games in the books. There’s been plenty of surprises, when it comes to certain players and teams, some groups have been buried by injuries, while others have risen above those, usual suspects have faced adversity, while a few new teams are trying to prove themselves as contenders. We’ve had several great primetime games and shootouts between exciting teams, and then of course week nine kind of flipped everything on its head, when we had two double-digit underdogs pull off upsets and there were quite a few other head-scratching results.

So now, as I like to do every year, I think is a good time to reflect a little bit and talk about who I think would win all the major NFL awards, if the season ended today. Once again, just like I did when I put together my season predictions before we kicked things off, I will list and discuss my top three candidates for each category, to go with mentioning two or three other players, that deserve consideration. This is not a prediction of what I believe this will look like at the end of the year, but rather my personal opinion, based on numbers and all the tape I watched.

Mid-season NFL awards:

We have reached the halfway mark of the 2018 NFL season and we have seen a ton of different action. There have had positive surprises, such as the emergences of guys like James Conner and some of the game’s biggest stars returning from injury, disappointing teams like the Raiders and Giants as well as those up-and-down rides we have watched in Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Browns. With that being said, there have been some players, coaches and teams that have really stood out so far and it’s time to point out the most apparent ones, by telling you who I think should win the major NFL awards if the season ended today.
