The newly renamed Muhammad Ali International Airport in Louisville, KY now has an official logo.
Muhammad Ali admittedly hated to fly. But the airport in Louisville now has a new name and a new logo to honor “The Greatest”.
The city’s airport’s name was officially changed from Louisville International Airport to Muhammad Ali International Airport in January of this year.
Thursday, as a part of Ali Week, the updated branding for the airport was unveiled. Created by Badge Design, the logo features The Champ’s silhouette, in victory, against a butterfly background. The fades from red to orange, depicting strength and power.
Present at the ceremony were Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali; representatives of the Muhammad Ali Center; and members of Mayor Greg Fischer’s office.
