South Carolina’s A’ja Wilson is the WNBA’s first overall pick in the 2018 draft after being selected by the Las Vegas Aces.
The WNBA held its annual draft Thursday night in New York. The number one overall selection wasn’t a surprise at all. The Las Vegas Aces selected the “South Carolina Bully”, A’ja Wilson. Wilson captured every major collegiate basketball award throughout her outstanding career. Not only is she arguably the most decorated collegiate player hailing from the state of South Carolina. She’s maybe the most accomplished player in the history of college basketball. A’ja will embrace Sin City as her new home. Her impressive 22pts, 12rbs, and 3 blks per game aren’t bad luggage to accompany her.
