Dez Bryant was set to make $12.5 million this year but was cut instead saving the team $8 million in cap space.
Bryant told the NFL network during an interview, “I won’t say any teams, but being in the division, that’s a huge possibility, that’s a huge possibility, that’s something that I want.” Last season he declined a pay cut before the team have even approached him setting the state for a showdown this off season. The aging receiver showing decline was not the victor. “The only question I was going to have for that was, even if I did take a pay cut, am I going to be able to come in to work and be happy,” the all time touchdown leader for the cowboys said, “Will I be able to enjoy it? Because I already got a feeling that this person don’t like me.”
There is a short list of teams that would be eager to give him a shot, and I am not sure if any are in the east, but no matter where he ends up, you can best be sure he will have something to prove.
