Big Al’s NFL Picks – Week 4

Ok so usually I post before Thursday Night Football but really, everyone had Green Bay to win. LOL.

Or maybe I was recovering from a rough week of predicting.  A lot of upsets and a lot of wrong picks.

But I am back – still a believer.

The headlines were the kneeling, but last week in the NFL was littered with upsets. The Jets actually won and the Ravens were bully footed by the Jags.  How about the Bills?

And we can’t forget Odell “peeing” on the Eagles’ field.

BRONCOS over Raiders

Raiders have some jelling to do.  Raiders’ offense will struggle against the Broncos’ D.

RAVENS over Steelers

Yes the Ravens were rocked in London by the Jaguars debacle. I am expecting their offense to show up in this game between rivals. Le’Veon looks better. Joe Flacco can’t keep regressing.  Ravens D will have to slow Antonio and not give up big plays

Bills over FALCONS

I know many have the Falcons as their lock. I am feeling an upset though. Falcons could easily be 1-2 right now. I liked what I saw last week from this Buffalo team. I think they have the defense to slow the Matt Ryan. Should be a better game than people think.

COWBOYS over Rams

Rams are on top of the NFC West. Wow! Jared Goff was been decent. Todd Gurley looks better this year, Dak Prescott is back. Expect Ezekiel Elliott to rip some big runs. Might be close, but going with the Boyz.

BUCCANEERS over Giants

New York had a decent 2nd half last game, but otherwise they have been struggling. Eli Manning is throwing the ball so quick to stay off the turf.  They still lack a running game. On the other team, Jameis Winston has to be careful vs. Janoris Jenkins. If the Bucs can hit some big plays, this could be a fun game to watch.

Saints over DOLPHINS

Another week in London. The Saints have to get a running game.  After watching the Jets, they may be inspired. Jay Cutler did not play well against the Jets. I think the Saints’ and Drew Brees pull out a close one overseas.

VIKINGS over Lions

Dalvin Cook should have a big day.  If he does Minnesota should be able to get it to Stefon Diggs downfield. Matthew Stafford will have a tough day going up against Minnesota’s attacking defense.

BROWNS over Bengals

What is up with Andy Dalton? Bengals and Browns are fighting not to be last in the division. The Bengals offensive looked better, but their defense can’t sup the run.

JETS over Jaguars

Despite their dominance can’t see Blake Bortles doing it two weeks in a row. It’s strange to actually pick the Jets. But their offence is not as inept as people were predicting.

PATRIOTS over Panthers

The Patriots’ defense should not have any issues against Cam Newton, especially if he is not fully healthy. The Patriots are still figuring things out on defense, but this should not be close.

CARDINALS over 49ers

Cardinals were better against the Cowboys, but their defensive wore down. Carson Palmer looked great nut he was not giving a lot of time. The 49ers defense is capable but I don’t believe in their offense in this game.

Titans over TEXANS

The Texan went toe-to-toe with the Patriots. I see a hangover from the loss. Deshaun Watson playing pretty good, but I expect Marcus Mariota to hold his own against the Texans defense.

 CHARGERS over Eagles

The Eagles pulled off a close win against the Giants last week. But they did not play that well. The Chargers twice already could have won but were hurt by a late FG. Philip Rivers might have a big day.

SEAHAWKS over Colts

Jacoby Brissett is saving the season for the Colts. Imagine that? He played well against the Browns, nut the Seahawks’ defense is another story.
