Cardi B Becomes Only The 2nd Female In HipHop History To Go #1

“Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)”  is the first #1 by a solo female rapper since Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop (That Thing)” in 1998 who was the first and only female rapper to reach #1 until now on the billboard 100.

“Bodak Yellow” dethrones “Look what you made me do” by Taylor Swift from the top spot.  Cardi’s label Atlantic Records held a celebration for her commemorating the accomplishment at their headquarters in New York. “I never asked them, they just did it voluntarily,” Cardi said, “every day harassing their followers like, ‘Make sure you download and stream “Bodak Yellow”’ — and look what you made me do.”
