Paying Homage To The Black Mamba

The Los Angels Lakers are paying homage to perhaps its greatest Laker of all time, Kobe Bryant.

The ceremony will be held on December 18; during the Warriors vs Lakers contest at the Staples Center.

Kobe was acquired in probably the greatest trade of all time, if you’re a Laker of course. In the 1996 NBA Draft, the Charlotte Hornets selected Bryant 13th overall, a month later he was traded to the Lakers for Vlade Divac.

The Mamba entered LA, then commenced to unleash his assault on the NBA record books.

  1. Kobe Bryant is the greatest offensive player to ever compete in the NBA. You used the correct phrase ” unleash his assault” on the basketball universe. No one should be allowed to wear #8 or #24 ever again.
