Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Michael Bennett was stopped by Vegas police and had a gun put to his head.
“Do I believe all police officers are bad, No! Do I there are people out there who judge people on the color of their skin, I do believe that!
Bennett stated the incident occurred in the early morning of August 27, preceding the McGregor-Maywheather fight in Vegas. The police apprehended Michael after what sounded like “gun shots” in a crowded area.
In a written statement Bennett wrote the officers “pointed guns at him for doing nothing more than simply being a black man in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

“The officers’ excessive use of force was unbearable. I felt hopeless as I lay there on the ground handcuffed facing the real life threat of being killed. All I could think of was I’m going to die for no other reason that I am black and my skin color is somehow a threat.”
