Defying Fantasy divulges its Thursday Night Watch List, Along With The Patriots Player To Grab!!
Kansas City Chiefs
Tyreek Hill: He one of the most expensive players in the league. Hill can literally score from the parking lot. He scored over 10 touchdowns last season in every way imaginable.
Travis Kielce: Travis has worked his was into the best tight end in the NFL convention by becoming last years #1 fantasy TE. Be careful, Kielce is nursing a calf sprain, so monitor this situation closely.
Kareem Hunt: Hunt was catapulted into the top three rounds of millions of draft boards after the season ending injury to Spencer Ware.
Alex Smith: He shouldn’t be in your starting lineup.
New England Patriots
Tom Brady: Tom Terrific is always in contention for fantasy’s football MVP. After serving a four game suspension last season, Brady ripped the league for more than 25 touchdowns with only 2 interceptions. I expect him to continue on his historical pace.
Rob Gronkowski: Gronk has been banged up the past few years, however, he’s still the NFL’s most unstoppable force.
Brandin Cooks: Cooks is the newest addition to the band. He has Randy Moss type speed. Brady will definitely take his shots with him. Brandin totaled over 1,000 yards with 8 touchdowns with the Saints last season. I expect him to pick up where he left off.
There will be a player with little or no notoriety to emerge with the Patriots. Danny Amendola, James White, Rex Burkhead, James Gilislee, and Malcom Mitchell are all mention as potential boom or bust as flex options. However, Chris Hogan is everyone’s favorite, except mine.
I would be remiss if I didn’t spotlight my choice to have a weekly fantasy impact on your fantasy roster. Dion Lewis is listed as the starting RB on the Pats depth chart, which doesn’t mean anything from a Bill Bellichek team. Remember this, 2015 Lewis posted running back 1 numbers in a ppr league. He ranked top three for the first seven weeks of the season, before tearing his acl. Lewis rushed for 234 yards with 2 touchdowns. He added 36 receptions for 388 with 2 more touchdowns via air. Dion had practically dismissed the Patriots stable of running backs, to just that, the stables, no pun intended. O.k. Just a little. If Lewis is still on your waiver wire, please don’t let him sit there in lei of reading this. New England showed you how they felt about Lewis by giving him a contact extension while he was still recovering on the operating table.
