In wake of fatal floods, Texans’ star J.J. Watt asks fans to help Houston in emotional video.
The torrential rain and flooding throughout Houston from Hurricane Harvey — now a tropical storm — has left the country’s fourth largest city in a state of emergency, and the storm is expected to continue on for the next few days.
Houston Texans’ defensive lineman J.J. Watt isn’t waiting on a recovery effort for the city of Houston.
The storm forced the Houston Texans to travel to Dallas in attempts to wait out Harvey. The Texans are scheduled to host the Dallas Cowboys in Houston this Thursday. As Watt spent the day taking in the news regarding the storm, he posted a Twitter video to urge fans to donate and help the city’s recovery.
At the time of publication, Watt has helped raise $536,682.
