Colin Kaepernick continues his philanthropic mission by donating $800,000 to oppressed communities.
This time last year, Colin Kaepernick stated he would donate $1 million “to organizations working in oppressed communities.” To be specific, Kaepernick is targeting people affected by the injustices against which he protested by sitting and kneeling during the national anthem throughout the 2016 NFL season.
Beginning last October, Kaepernick has donated funds in $100,000 increments to multiple organizations — detailed on his website. Per his Instagram account, his donation total has currently reached $800,000.
