Sue Bird and Maya Moore headline the list of WNBA 3-point contest participants.
The WNBA has announced the participants for the 2017 3-point contest.
Sue Bird, a ten-time all-star, of the Seattle Storm and 2014 league MVP Maya Moore of the Minnesota Lynx headline the list of contestants who will showcase their shooting range. The event will take place on Saturday, July 22 at KeyArena in Seattle. This will mark the league’s first long-distance competition at WNBA All-Star in 8 years.
The field will also showcase 2017 All-Star Jasmine Thomas of the Connecticut Sun and two-time WNBA Sixth Woman of the Year, Allie Quigley of the Chicago Sky, as well as 2013 WNBA champion Sugar Rodgers of the New York Liberty.
The WNBA 3-Point Contest will be televised live during halftime of Verizon WNBA All-Star 2017, which will broadcast on ABC at 3:30 PM ET. Each participant ranks in the league’s top 8 in three-pointers made and three-pointers made per game so far this season.
