The rapper turned actor just cashed in on another business investment.
Hip-hop entrepreneur Curtis Jackson known to the world as “50 Cent” recently sold his stake in Effen Vodka for $60 million. The popular vodka brand was promoted heavily by the rapper as he often poked fun at rival brand Ciroc that Sean “Puffy”Combs promotes. Ciroc often referred to as “Puffy Juice” by 50 Cent, is the top selling vodka brand currently. There has been no word on why he sold his stake in the Effen brand. If you can remember some years back 50 Cent scored over $100 million when Coca-Cola bought Vitamin Water in which he had a stake in also. 50 Cent also stars in and produces a hit tv show “Power” on the Starz network. He also has other projects in the works on several other television networks. With a $60 million payday I am sure 50 will find another lucrative investment. 50 Cent is due to release a new album by the end of the year.
UPDATE: 50 has clarified that he has not actually sold his stake in EFFEN Vodka for a cool $60 million earlier this month. But the Queens rapper has just confirmed he’s “still on the brand.”
