Eric B. & Rakim Perform Entire ‘Paid In Full’ Album

Legendary Hip Hop duo Eric B. and Rakim reunited for the first time in 20 years to forgotten Paid In Full.

The show took place at The Apollo Theatre in New York City Friday night in honor of the 30th anniversary of their iconic album Paid In Full. Accompanied by a small army of others onstage, the duo performed its game-changing 1987 debut Paid In Full in its entirety, highlighted by classic songs like “My Melody,” “I Know You Got Soul” and “I Ain’t No Joke.”

Throughout the evening, the group brought out various special guests, including Ice-T, Flavor Flav, Ma$e, Fat Joe, EPMD, Main Source, Roxanne Shante and the godfather of Hip Hop,  Kool Herc.

Ice-T told stated that the event was simply “crazy.”

Eric B. and Rakim’s social media accounts have been inundated with mixed information over the past year or so. However, they did tease a reunion in October 2016. It’s a good sign that at least one show has cine of it. But for now, there has been no word of any subsequent performances.

Eric B. & Rakim took to Twitter to lend gratitude for the many people showed up to support the show. “Thank you to everybody who showed love. EPMD, Ice T, Kool Herc, Slick Rick, Flavor Flav, Fat Joe,…” It was then linked to an Instagram account, but it’s  not clear if it’s the group’s official IG page.
