The new shoe deal with Anta, is the ninth richest in the NBA.
Klay Thompson, guard for the Golden State Warriors just inked a 10-year extension with the Chinese based sports brand Anta. The two-time NBA champion looks to bring in around $8 million a year from the new deal. Anta Sports currently sells footwear, apparel, and accessories.
Thompson left Nike in 2014 and signed a deal with the growing brand . Klay first learned about the brand from Chicago Bulls point guard Rajon Rondo. Rondo who also has a shoe with Anta, offered Thompson his optimism about the brand and the Chinese market. Thompson recently celebrated a second NBA title when his team defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers. Klay finished last season 22.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG, and 2.1 APG.
