Barson died two weeks after the crash after being taken to the intensive care unit. The driver of the vehicle, Linda Barson, suffered broken bones as a result of the crash. The Associated Press reported that the Palm Beach Gardens police interviewed witnesses that said Williams ran a red light in her 2010 Toyota Sequoia SUV, causing the crash.  Williams, who was not hurt, told investigators she entered the six-lane intersection on a green light but was forced to stop by traffic ahead of her. She said she did not see the Barsons’s car when she crossed into their lanes.

Linda Barson is being represented by Palm Beach Gardens personal injury attorney Michael Steinger.
