Defying Fantasy: Rookie Fantasy Projections

NFL training camps are only a little over a month away. We want to take a look at the rookies drafted in the first round.

Here are the projections of how these first-round rookies may fair in the upcoming fantasy year. These perfections are based off their production on the collegiate level, combined with how much their NFL teams will depend on them. Here is the question you need to ask yourself. Can this rookie help me win a fantasy championship based on these projections?

*Patrick Mahomes is not included, as he is not expected to play his rookie season*

Mitch Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears

Projection: 1,600 yards passing with 10 touchdowns.


Leonard Fournette, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars

Projection: 900 rush yards with 8 touchdowns; 22 receptions with 2 touchdowns.


Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

Projection: 80 receptions, 1,000 yards receiving with 10 touchdowns.


Christian McCaffrey, RB, Carolina Panthers

Projection: 500 rush yard with 3 touchdowns; 60 rec totaling 700 yards with 6 touchdowns; adding 900 total return yards.


Deshaun Watson, QB, Houston Texans

Projection: 3,000 yards passing with 20 touchdowns; 400 rush yards with 4 touchdowns.


O.J. Howard, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Projection: 50 receptions for 600 yards with 6 touchdowns.


David Ntjoku, TE, Cleveland Browns

Projection: 60 receptions for 600 yards with 7 touchdowns.


Cory Davis, WR, Tennessee Titans

Projection: 60  receptions for 600 with 7 touchdowns.


John Ross, WR, Cincinnati Bengals

Projection: 50   receptions for 500 yards with 5 touchdowns.


Evan Ingram, TE, New York Giants

Projection: 40 receptions   400 yards with 7 touchdowns.
