The Philadelphia 76ers reportedly negotiated with the Boston Celtics for the No. 1 pick in the draft.
Ahead of Thursday’s NBA Draft, the Sixers were in talks with the Celtics to move up and take the No. 1 spot in the draft. Philly was in the No. 3 draft spot behind the Los Angeles Lakers who hold the No. 2 pick. The Celtics will gain a pair of first round picks from Philly with this deal. Boston hopes to get the key pieces that they need to push them to the next level. This move does have the NBA buzzing right now.
Markelle Fultz is expected to go No. 1 in the draft. He is a 6′ 4″ point guard that played at the University of Washington. It is reported that the Sixers will draft Fultz No. 1 overall because of their current needs. The team is looking to build a young roster that can make them a competitive force one again in the Eastern Conference. Lonzo Ball another hot commodity and former UCLA point guard, is expected to go early in the draft. If Fultz goes No. 1, the Lakers could take Ball with the No. 2 pick. We will have to wait and see…..
