Meet The Prospect: Haason Reddick

Temple linebacker Haason Reddick is rising fast on draft boards and making a case for first round consideration. - NFL Jerseys and Gear

School: Temple  Ht: 6-2  Wt: 237

Reddick is a great athlete and uses his speed to bend the edge and set up linemen for and inside speed rush. The downside on Reddick is that if he doesn’t win with his speed and quickness he tends to just get blocked out of the play and becomes a non-factor.

Reddick is an extremely productive outside linebacker that could play in multiple systems at the next level. Extremely quick and versatile pass rushers that has also shown that he can drop back into coverage. As the draft process proceeds, the more he can showcase his skills in space, the more his stock will rise with 3-4 defenses, but still will have a lot of value as a pass rusher in a 4-3.

The team drafting him will have to work on his hand usage and trying to teach him some pass rush moves. At the point of attack, Reddick can be engulfed by size and shows difficulty disengaging once blockers lock on. May need to add bulk and needs to improve hand usage.

2017 NFL Draft Positional Rankings

Haason Reddick was, arguably, the best player in Mobile for the Senior Bowl. His speed, explosiveness and instincts will elicit a continued surge in his draft stock. Reddick’s speed and athleticism might give him a greater shot at impacting the game as a 3-4 inside linebacker or a 4-3 WILL rather than trying to bulk up and play the edge. An ascending prospect with a high-end potential if he can continue to hone his craft
